| Contents: | - Preventive Medicine: definition, implementation, evolution and historical perspectives in a global world. - Introduction to Chronic Degenerative Diseases (CDD) - Genetics, Genomics and Public Health - Chronic Illness in Children - Epidemiology of chronic disease in adults - Cardiovascular disease and cancer - Control measures for DCD - Prevention and control of communicable diseases by air (Tuberculosis, Avian flu) - Prevention and control of water-borne diseases and food (typhoid fever, brucellosis, cholera, etc..) - Prevention and control of communicable diseases through direct contact (AIDS, mycological) and vector-borne (malaria, leishmaniasis, sleeping sickness). - Communicable diseases and development. - Epidemiological surveillance of communicable diseases: historical evolution, current models and their importance. - Immunization of adults, international travel and communicable diseases. |
