| Objectives: | By the end of the course, students should have acquired the following competences: 1) know the main institutions and scientific organizations linked with physical education, as well as their objectives and activities performed; 2) know the physical education and school sport institutional organization implemented in the educational systems of European countries; 3) distinguish the main existing political options in regards to the organization of physical education and school sports in Europe; 4) know the core characteristics of the physical education programs among the different European countries and their curricular models; 5) identify the main problems that physical education and school sports face in Europe; 6) know the major decisions taken towards the promotion of physical education and school sports in Europe. |
